Simon Canyon Ruin

 {Saturday March 31}

Reed, his brother Shawn and I went on a day hike to a place called Simon Canyon Ruin. It is a little ways past Aztec, NM by Navajo Dam. The hike wasn't very far but it was really cool. This ruin is on top of a 20 ft boulder which makes it even more cool. It was the perfect day and perfect weather for this hike.

Weekend

It was a warm weekend here so Reed and I wanted to do something outdoors. We decided to take Rudy to the park, which turned into Rudy swimming in the river. Rudy absolutely LOVES to swim. If we throw anything in the water he will fetch it and will stay out there until he finds something to bring back. It was a nice peaceful afternoon spent with my two boys but it was great. Its times like that where I am able to stop, enjoy life and see the many blessings I have. Yes I may not have much but I am blessed with so much. I'm happy with my little family and it is enough for me.

Time Out for Women

{March 16-17 2012}
This weekend I went to Albuquerque with my mother in law Barb and 3 sister in laws Meshan, Genie and Annie to a Time Out for Women conference. Barb's friend Mary also met up with us there.
It was an awesome conference and I am super glad I went. I heard some very good, uplifting speakers and some sweet music as well. It makes me very happy that I'm a member of the LDS church. I left feeling uplifted and inspired to be the best I can be.

Hilary Weeks was a musician that was there who was a great speaker as well. I loved this music video she showed us as she sang. Enjoy.

Dear Reed

Dear Reed,

I love it when you go out of town and leave me the best love notes in the most random places. Like this one you left on the toilet :).

I guess you wanted to be positive that I would find it, and you were right I did. I love it but it just makes miss you even more. I guess I can forgive you because half the time you leave me coke and donuts too, you sure know how to spoil me.

P.S. Last week we purchased tickets to go to Reed's mission (The Baltics) in May for 2 weeks. We are super excited and Reed has been dreaming about it ever since. I can't wait to see a different part of the world and meet some amazing people Reed had an impact on and that also made a difference in his life as well.

Tubing

{Saturday March 3}

We went to our ward tubing party at Forest Lakes next to Vallecito, CO. It was a lot of fun, just not after when I was super sore from climbing up the hill all day. Mostly everybody left and it was just our family left we took up all the kids for one last run and it was the best run of the day. We made it all the way to the cars and everyone was screaming. We had such a blast.

Arenacross

{Saturday Feb. 25th}

Reed and I went to an arenacross at Mcgee park with some friends. It was mostly just races but they also had some guys do some motorcycle stunts. It was way cool and a lot of fun. We have been pretty busy and boring with things lately and haven't gotten out to do anything fun. So it was nice to get out even if we came home smelling like exhaust smoke, it was worth it!

Lubbock

{Friday February 10}

I set off to Lubbock Friday Morning with my sister Megan and her girls to see my sister Amanda. Amanda knew we were coming but the kids didn't know. They were super surprised and Amanda was even more surprised when my Mom showed up with us too. It was awesome!

We had so much fun, we went shopping, ate at 5 guys, got some yummy Krispy Kreme donuts, checked out the town and just enjoyed some good ol' family time.

It even snowed!

Sunday afternoon the Whipple girls spent some quality time knitting/crocheting together! Knitting is my newest obsession hobby.

We all had a blast and it was sad leaving Monday when we had to come home but we will for sure be making many more trips to Lubbock soon!

Valentine's Day

Reed and I didn't plan anything special for Valentine's day this year because well, we are old married folks now. So I was super surprised when I came back to work from lunch to find this waiting for me.

Yes it is coke, donuts, flowers with a love note! No its not anything fancy or expensive but I love it. Reed is the perfect man for me and he knows exactly what I need when I need it. I'm so grateful to have spent my Valentine's day with the man I love more than anything.

Girl's Day

 {Saturday January 21, 2011}

I went snowshoeing with my two sister-in-laws. They wanted to have a girls day with no kids and no husbands so I agreed to go along. We went to the same place we went before since we knew where to go. It was snowing the whole time we were snowshoeing so we accidentally got on the wrong trail on our way down and got lost for a couple hours, but all is well. We found our way back before we were snowed in. It was a blast just having a girls day, but we decided our next girl's day we will do something girly like shopping instead of getting lost in the wilderness for 2 hours!

Tough Mudder

Reed and his brothers went to Phoenix for a competition called the Tough Mudder. For those that don't know what a Tough Mudder is, it is basically a 12 mile course with obstacles in between. They all grew out their beards so when the day came they could each save a funny mustache of some sort. What nerds I know. They had a blast though and I'm just glad they made it home alive because they didn't train all too well. They took a lot of video that I plan to edit sometime until then these pictures will have to do.
