Goodbye 2012

2012 was a fun year for Reed and I. We feel like we are starting to feel more and more like grown ups. We probably will never act like grown ups though. This year Reed finished school and got a job, which we have been looking forward for a while now. Now it's my turn for school. We had lots of fun adventures, made many good friends, and grew to love each other even more if that's possible. We stayed super busy by juggling school, work, and church callings. Reed is the 1st counselor in Young Men's, and I'm the 1st counselor in Young Women's. Every once in a while we find some time to throw some fun in. These are some of our favorite highlights of our year.

One of our many snowshoeing adventures.
Participated in 2 dodge ball tournaments
Hiked to some Indian ruins.
The highlight of our year was being able to go to Reed's mission, the Baltic Countries, in May for 2 weeks. It was such a cool experience for me to see another part of the world and meet some people that Reed served and impacted. I met some amazing people and made me love Reed even more as I saw how much those people loved him because he was such a good missionary. It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life.
Another thing that changed my life while I was in the Baltics was these delicious hot dogs. They are amazing and I've craved them ever since I left there. I'm drooling as I write this.

Backpacking trip to Highland Mary's

Cascade Falls
Can't forget another hardworking summer of corn roasting
Fishing at Potato Lake
Reed's trip to Mexico with his brothers.
Hiked Engineer Mountain
Red neck dates prarie dog shooting
Reed's 30 mile mountain bike race
A couple 5k's with my mom
Reed ran 2 tough mudders
2nd annual kickball champs
Last minute road trip to Vegas

We are looking forward to 2013. We hope to buy a home to settle in for a while. I hope to get into a program at our college and we hope to have many more adventures.

Today mark's the date of Reed and I's first date to a church dance 4 years ago. Its crazy how fast time flies and that in a couple months we will celebrate our 4th anniversary. Things haven't always gone the way we have planned but we can't complain because we have most definitely been blessed. We always have each other and that's all that matters, life has been good to us.
Happy new year, here's to many more!

Vegas Trip

{December 13-16}
Reed and I decided we needed a little trip after our school semester ended. Also to celebrate Reed finishing school and my birthday on the 17th. We decided at the last minute to go to Las Vegas. We left Thursday night after I got off work and took turns driving and ended up in Las Vegas around 5:30 AM. We went to breakfast then we were able to check into our hotel and take a little nap.
 Yep it was still dark when we got there but the traffic was still crazy.
On Friday night we went to a cirque du soleil show KA. It was expensive but totally worth it. It was such an amazing cool show.

We couldn't go to Vegas without eating at Five guys... twice. We love that place.
Saturday we spent most of the day shopping at some outlet stores and then that night we went to Fremont Street that all my coworkers told me about.
This was one of our favorite places it was super cool. They have tons of led lights over the whole street that was like a huge tv screen.
They had some bands playing on fremont street that we were able to see.
Like Willie Nelson.
And Reba.
It was such a fun night even if we didn't win anything on the slots.

{Monday December 17th}
It was my 24th Birthday!
Reed and I went to K-mart to get a few things and since it was my birthday, he made me sit in the cart so he could push me around. He is such a nerd but I sure do love that man and have so much fun with him.
I ended my day by going to a water aerobics class that my mom teaches. It was a sweet birthday weekend spent with the people I love most!

November

I finally finished school yesterday so I finally have time to update this sad blog of mine. Its been a crazy life the past couple months but somehow we survived and made it through alive. Now I have 3 weeks off school to relax, even though I'm still working it'll be a huge. I plan on sleeping in everyday and I don't even care!

In November I went to the Breaking Dawn 2 midnight premier with some friends. Yes we are nerds but we do it just to have some fun time together.

{November 17}
I ran another 5K with my mom. It was the turkey trot and I even got a sweet shirt out of it.

This little sweet Nephew of mine was also born in November and I just can't get enough of him he is so cute just like his sisters. I love being an Aunt.
Reed and I got a few days of for Thanksgiving break and it was amazing. I didn't study at all and spent some time with this guy instead. We had a shooting date one afternoon and shot at one of our old roasted corn signs for target practice.
For Thanksgiving Reed had a bunch of family in town which consisted of many game nights. One night we got together for a volleyball tournament and ended it with a heated match of 4 square. It was a good time like always.
I got to help my mom make some of her famous homemade turkey noodle soup. Its seriously my favorite part of the holidays. I look forward to her soup more than Thanksgiving dinner itself.
The last weekend of November we participated in a dodge ball tournament again. It was super fun and I was super sore afterwards. I need to get out more so this doesn't happen. It was so much fun and we barely came in second. We barely lost to a couple heated matches but you have to give us credit the team we lost to were scary. Two of the guys on the other team were college pitcher over 6 ft tall and could chuck that ball super hard. Most of their team were college athletes so I was happy with our outcome.
And just in case you want to know just how serious we are about our dodgeball I'll leave you with this picture....
Don't mess with us we mean serious business.

Recent Happenings

After this semester started it seems like we are busy all the time, but every once in a while we find some time to squeeze some fun things in. Not as much as I'd like but heck we can't complain.

Last Weekend {Sat Oct. 13} I ran a 5k race with my mom. Luckily I had her to keep me going because I wasn't in shape at all but we made it. My mom is amazing for taking up running and I think she did awesome. I was the one breathing hard not her.

Reed went to Utah to do another Tough Mudder. This is a finish photo of Reed, Preston, Derek, and Shawn. They had a blast as usual.

This weekend we entered into Farmington's annual kickball tournament. We had to play a few games with our famous staches.
 We had a blast and yep that's right our team won again! This year it was a close call but we pulled through and won a $200 giftcard to Three Rivers.

It was nice to do something fun on a weekend instead of studying the whole time. We are half way through the semester which means Reed is almost done! We are for sure looking forward to it and hoping things will calm down in our life

Road Apple Rally

This past weekend Reed did a 30 mile mountain bike race with his brother Shawn. He completed in in 2 hrs and 7 minutes. I was super impressed especially since he hardly even trained. He got 4th in his age group but said next year the other guys better watch out. I married such a stud.
