My Dorky But Sweet Husband

Reed hitched a ride with his cousin Sunday night to Utah to go truck shopping since there isn't much around here for what we are looking for.
He knows how much I hate being home alone and he usually writes me a note and leaves something nice (like coke and donuts I'm a fat girl) but it was Sunday so he couldn't buy anything... Instead this is what I saw when I came home from church.

BedJust when I thought that was it I found one here... Of course it wouldn't be complete without having on the toilet.Then I get ready to hop in the shower this morning and find another one.
I love my dorky but sweet husband.

New Toy

Reed bought a new bike recently because "he just needed it". But really its a bunch of fun and we plan to take some little weekend trips on it. It is a Honda Shadow and rides really nice.

Rudy loves it and loves to run beside us.
Reed's mom even loves it. Yes, even she took it for a spin! Something I would never dare to do.
It should be lots of fun. Don't worry we both have helmets!

For the past 3 weeks my sister (in-law) Meshan and I have been training for a half-marathon (13.1 miles) in Durango. We weren't the most dedicated in training and kinda avoided the sight of hills... well the 1/2 marathon was today and boy was it full of hills and it was really tough! But we made it (barely) and had fun.
Almost done!
Definitely was some good bonding time whining the last 5 miles :) We'll be better prepared next year but we felt very accomplished!

Farmington Lake

The other day we day we decided to take Rudy to Farmington Lake to cool off a bit. We picked up some of our nieces and nephews on the way.The kids loved it, Rudy loved it, and we loved it. Fun times with the family...

Rudy

We love Rudy and my family loves Rudy. Especially the kiddos. If we go to my Mom's without Rudy we get in trouble.

Memorial Day

For Memorial day we went 4 wheeling on La Plata Mountain. It was so pretty and lots of fun. It was good to be in the mountains for a couple hours to just relax. We couldn't go to the top because there was still snow in some places but we plan to go back when its all melted.

1st Anniversary

Yes it has already been a year, crazy I know! This is how we celebrated our anniversary weekend.

Romantic huh. but really we couldn't pass up the chance to make some money for school and it was worth it! This is how we will spend our summer making money. It will be tough but we will have all winter to recover.

One customer today even recognized me as "the ring girl" funny huh. It made my day.

This past year has gone by so fast. We have both grown a lot and learned a lot. We are even more in love than this time last year. <3

Lake Powell

Our Anniversary is coming up this weekend but we have to work so last weekend we went to Lake Powell to celebrate.
Yeah my husband is pretty much amazing.
It was a fun time with my honey. I can't believe its already almost been a year!

Fishing

Saturday we went fishing all day with our friends Bracy and Shaun. First we went to Navajo Lake and had no luck...



Then we went to Morgan lake for a few hours and Rudy came with us. He loved it. We didn't have much luck at Morgan either. We were getting ready to leave and I said One more. Well one more was all it took. I caught a catfish!
Rudy went crazy over the fish, but we put it back. All in all a great day of fishing!

Paria Canyon

This past weekend we went on a hike near Page, AZ. It is in Peria Canyon and was about 28 miles total in 3 days. It was a lot of fun, but tough! We went with Reed's parents, brother Preston, sister Paige, and his aunt and uncle that live in Monticello.
Rudy absolutely loved it! We even got him a little pack for him to carry his own food.

Yeah we had to walk through waist deep freezing cold muddy water... more than once.
