If you have never heard of this place it is called Havasupai Falls, AZ. An Indian tribe lives at the bottom of the canyon before the falls. Its about an 11 mile hike down to the campgrounds. There are 4 main waterfalls that we played at as well as floated down the river which was just as fun. It seemed like we were running around 24/7 whether it was jumping off waterfalls, floating the river, playing spike ball or exploring for a new adventure.
We begun our journey last Thursday morning at about 8 a.m. and stayed
until Sunday morning. It was a blast! Sorry about the picture overload
but there was just so many good pics.
Gotta love the Chacos!

This is how you get down to Mooney Falls
It has been 3 years since Reed and I backpacked down. I forgot how hard the hike out was but it is definitely worth it. We had so much fun and can't wait to go back again.

ReplyDeleteThat looks like a blast and a half! So fun :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures. I have been down to Havasuapi twice this year. Can you tell me where you are at in the picture that you are climbing up the log into a cavern? About the 11th picture up from the bottom.
